FAQ
What is the atmosphere like in your salon, and how does it cater to my needs?

My salon is a private 1:1 studio suite designed to provide a calm, relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I understand that many of my clients are busy working moms, so I focus on creating a peaceful space where you can unwind and enjoy personalized, one-on-one service. It's the perfect setting to take a break, recharge, and leave feeling refreshed.
What is lived-in color, and how long does it last?

Lived-in color is a way of coloring the hair that allows it to grow out without a defined re-growth line while adding dimension to your color. It typically lasts 10-12 weeks, but the exact duration can vary depending on your hair type and care routine.

If you are ready to dive into longer and thicker hair I am so ready to leap with you! I specialize in two amazing application methods that include Hidden Hand-Tied Sew-in and Tape-in extensions that keep your hair feeling healthy and look amazing and natural, no matter how you style it.
How should I care for my hair extensions?

To guarantee the quality of your extensions lasts, only use approved products on your extensions. Approved products (per manufactures warranty) are Kevin Murphy, Oribe, R+Co, Iles Formula, and Brazilian Bond Builder. At minimum you should be using a Shampoo, Conditioner and Detangler/leave-in conditioner.

Daily washing can result in "slipping" of extensions and may require more frequent move ups. Idealy you should only need to wash the extensions 1-2X/week and if needed consider sectioning off the top part of your hair and washing only that. Only use a flexible hair spray and try to minimize the use of texturizing products and oils. When washing make sure you wash in between the extensions.

When brushing out your hair, make sure you brush from the bottom up and only use a boar bristle bush or a Wet Brush. When round brushing your extensions avoid the extension track at your scalp and only round brush when your hair is already mostly dry. Make sure you are brushing your extensions several times daily to avoid pulling and tugging on the hair and support the extensions at your scalp while brushing. For best tangle-free hair, braid it while sleeping.

Never get sunscreen on your extensions as this will discolor the extension hair (and wont be able to be colored back) and don't sleep on wet extension hair either. If possible avoid getting the hair wet in a pool or in salt water as this will dry out the hair and cause tangling. When on vacation where this is unavoidable use conditioning treatments to combat that.

Lastly, make sure you are following the maintenance plan talked about during the original consultation. Never skip move-up appointments and get new hair at the recommended time to ensure there is no damage to your natural hair.
